Rainbow Lorikeets are stunningly beautiful birds (this was my first encounter). The lighting was poor due to overcast, or I would have had many more amazing shots. For more on this bird, check here.

These are beautiful birds! Good news - we have a walk-in aviary of rainbow lorikeets at the Portland Zoo now. Next time you come, let's take Kieran there. You can buy small containers of juice and they sit on your head and arms and drink the juice. We have had up to six birds on one of us at a time. It's a fun experience, and they are indeed spectacular! Looking forward to seeing you when we can, Love, mom
